The garden is stocked with many local tropical plant varieties, banana, guava, coconut and mango trees, and the hardwoods include wild cashew, Cenizaro, and Pochote. For 8 months of the year the garden is filled with the intoxicating scent of the white ginger flower.
Both the main and guest house were designed in the modern vernacular tropical style of the area, and were built to the highest construction standards with each stage of the build overseen by the exacting owner.
Built over two levels the main house stands in a magical setting, with the wrap round terrace becoming the most amazing viewing platform of the abundant wildlife in the area.
One does not have to move from the terrace to observe (and hear) the howler and white faced monkeys harvesting wild cashews in and around the garden, Iguana's, Coati's, the occasional deer and numerous red squirrels scurrying to and fro across the jungle canopy.
For the bird lover, the most incredible daily display of toucans, hummingbirds, falcons, trogons, motmots, woodpeckers, cuckoos, heron and numerous other bird varieties. At 100 feet above sea level the house is also noticeably cooler in the dry season. And of fundamental importance this property has it's own plentiful natural water supply.
